Sustainability Statement

1. Our position

We are a small healthcare consultancy and training provider, so our environmental impact is different from that of a large clinical operator. Our main areas of influence are business travel, venues, purchased goods and services, digital activity, training materials and the suppliers we choose.

We do not describe RF Healthcare as carbon neutral or net zero unless that claim can be supported by appropriate measurement and evidence. Our focus is on practical reduction, transparent improvement and proportionate reporting as the business develops.

2. How we reduce avoidable impact

• Use remote meetings and digital collaboration where this meets the client's needs and does not reduce service quality
• Plan travel efficiently, combine journeys where practical and use lower-impact travel options where they are reasonable for the work
• Use digital documentation, booking, joining information and course administration to reduce unnecessary printing
• Avoid single-use materials where a safe and practical reusable alternative is available
• Consider venue accessibility, location and sustainability practices when selecting external training locations
• Work with suppliers that can demonstrate responsible environmental and social practices where this is relevant and proportionate
• Consider environmental impact alongside safety, quality, resilience and value when designing services

3. Training and consultancy delivery

We aim to design delivery so that sustainability supports rather than conflicts with safety and effectiveness. For training, this includes sensible venue selection, reusable equipment where appropriate, efficient course scheduling and digital administration. For consultancy, we use remote working where suitable and consider sustainability within procurement, resilience, service design and operational improvement when it is relevant to the client's objectives.

4. NHS and public-sector expectations

We monitor relevant NHS and public-sector sustainability requirements, including the NHS Net Zero Supplier Roadmap. As procurement requirements develop, we will take proportionate steps to improve emissions information, carbon-reduction planning and supporting evidence where this is applicable to the contracts we pursue.

We are particularly mindful of the NHS supplier requirements due to change from April 2027 and will keep our approach under review so that RF Healthcare can respond appropriately to future tender and contract requirements.

5. Measurement and improvement

As RF Healthcare grows, we intend to improve the quality of the information we hold about our environmental impact. Priority areas include business travel, energy associated with our operations, purchased services and materials, and other relevant supply-chain emissions. Where measurement becomes proportionate and reliable, we will use it to set practical reduction objectives and monitor progress rather than making unsupported headline claims.

6. Social value

Sustainability also includes the wider value created through how we work. Where practical, we support local and regional suppliers, accessible training, fair opportunities for associates and service improvements that strengthen healthcare quality, resilience and workforce capability.

7. Governance and review

Environmental responsibility sits at director level. We will review this statement and our sustainability priorities periodically, and sooner where significant changes to our services, supply chain or procurement obligations make an update necessary.
