South Central Ambulance Service is seeking private ambulance providers to support Emergency and Urgent Care activity across Buckinghamshire and/or Berkshire, with providers required to demonstrate sufficient capacity to mobilise and deliver the service.
The requirement covers 399 staff hours per week and is due to commence on 1 October 2026. The initial contract runs until 31 January 2027, with options to extend for up to four additional one-month periods. Providers may occasionally be required to operate outside their normal working boundaries to support patient transportation and changing operational demand. The procurement is being conducted through a competitive process under the Provider Selection Regime.
